This page will keep you informed of activity in which the OHTIA is involved. Each area group has its own remit for benefiting local tourism businesses.

Challenge Fund Applications Success

We are delighted to announce that our two VisitScotland Challenge Fund Applications have been successful.The applications were made by:

• the Harris group for a winter marketing campaign under the banner of Winter Harris to the value of £7000;
• the North Uist and Benbecula & South Uist groups who have joined forces under a new marketing group called Uist Together. Their project is to market the Uists as one destination and the value of their application is £13400.

Both areas will commence their campaigns on the 1st of May and have 1 year to complete their projects.
