The Outer Hebrides Tourism Association is a democratically elected body with its own constitution and elected office-bearers/area representatives.
There is one Association covering the length and breadth of the islands from Barra to Lewis. Within this there are 5 local branches, namely, Lewis, Harris, North Uist, South Uist & Benbecula, and Barra.
Each of the 5 branches meet within it own area on a regular basis to discuss developments and issues that are seen as pertinent to the growth of tourism locally and in the islands as a whole.
The area reprsentatives take the local views forward
to the Local Area Partnership Tourism Strategy Group which
includes Comhairle
nan Eilean Siar, VisitScotland,
and HIE.
